Fun Song:  My niece shared a link with me.  A friend of hers, Jeremy Duggins,  from Athens wrote a song called, "Opening Day (Georgia Football)".  It's appropriate for this weekend.  I had to share.  Click here to hear song.

Directions:
I've had a few people ask me for directions and I'm the last person you should ask! However,   I found an address for the Georgia Center for Continuing Education and it touches the South Deck.  It's 1197 S. Lumpkin Street, Athens, GA.   Or you could put in the intersection for Lumpkin Street and Carlton Street if you have a GPS.  If you do not have a parking pass then hopefully you will get in at the Carlton Street Parking Deck.

To find us once you are at the parking deck, face the parking deck with your back to Lumpkin Street.  We will be the first 3 tents on the left touching the parking deck.  We usually have the green Dempsey Dumpsters and Porta Potties beside us.

I decided we need a section for updates about our "Tailgate Crew News".
We've had weddings, babies, graduations, moves and now Hurricane Isaac.
I'm sure we won't have so much  to report on by the the next game
but a lot has happened since the end of football season.
I suppose this section is like our newsletter.  Any suggestions for a better name?

Happy News:
My niece, Autumn Pound Stephenson, is pregnant!!  We don't know if it's a boy or girl yet but we will know soon. She's due in February.  Congrats!  Autumn & Josh! Congrats, Grandmom Susie!  The photo below is how we learned she was pregnant.  Isn't this the cutest thing ever!!
Autumn & Josh Pregnancy Announcement!

Buzz & Ashley Brady had their 3rd child, Eli Mitchell.  He was born February 21, 2012. 7lbs and 30 oz. and 19" long. Are y'all getting any sleep?  Congrats to Mom & Dad!
Eli Mitchell Brady
Jake Griffin and Amy Thompson are now engaged!! They will be getting married on November 17th.  Jake is at St. Simon's this weekend with 14 guys having his Bachelor Party. Sounds like fun! In addition to the engagement, Jake has earned his degree as a Doctor of Physical Therapy and passed his boards in July.  He is now employed at Twin Lakes Physical Therapy.  I know Caroline and Johnny are proud!

Allyson and Parker were married August 4th at the beautiful Foundry.  They are now living in Savannah where Parker is working with a law firm and Allyson is going back to school.  Allyson is working on her Masters in Curriculumand Instruction at Armstrong. Allyson, I hope you don't mind but I stole this off your Facebook page.  This picture is AMAZING!!!!
Mr. & Mrs. Morgan

Jamie Jordan has returned to UGA as a student this Semester!! Way to go, Jamie!  She is now working on a Doctorate in Languageand Literacy Education.  I'm not sure what's more exciting is that she got accepted to the program or she got students tickets! :-)  Does that mean we will have to call you Dr. Jordan when you graduate?

On a serious note....Worm's daughter and grand daughter live in New Orleans, Ashley & Michelle, and they are being evacuated because of Hurricane Isaac.   I think we all should keep Worm's family in our prayers and all of the other residence of New Orleans in our prayers.  9/2 update.  Ashley's home was not damaged and she has made it back to New Orleans safely.
A Few Reminders:
Don't forget to bring your red plates, cups and silverware to this game
or the next game if you are part of the crew.

We still need more skirts and table clothes so if you see some get them.
We are covered for Buffalo.

You might want to bring a rain suit or poncho.

Our First Official Tailgate Photo for the 2012 Season
Byron drove to Athens to check out our Tailgate Spot.  He wanted to make sure
that we will still be comfortable in our spot since the new curbs are here.
Our Crew is extremely lucky to have Bryon!  Thank you, Byron!

Game Day Section
What a perfect tailgate we had!  It was so great to see everyone and catch up.
I heard some people comment that our Dawgs could have played better but we WON!!
Go Dawgs!!

A big thank you to Shane McAdams for showing up early and helping Byron
and the Griffins setup the tailgate.  I think you had some other friends
and thanks to y'all too!
I know the extra help was appreciated.

Thank you everyone for bringing all the delicious food.
Amanda, as you  know, I thought your sandwiches were so yummy!!
I hope to see them at the next game. :-)
Robin & Jay, I was waiting for you guys to bring your breakfast casserole
and it was as good as I remember!
Ashely, when do you have time to cook so much and go to medical school?
Parker and I were fans of your biscuits.
Do you think I might have eaten too much?  :-)

The weather report said at game time it should be 86 but I think it was more like 106.
At one point, I was hoping for a little bit of rain but it never came.
Several of us are a little red today!  Thank goodness the next game is at night.
I have to admit that I am not great at getting photos of everyone.
I really needed you there Billy Wendt!  If anyone has a photo please email them to me
and I will add them to the blog.

Thank you everyone for bringing their paper products
and thank you Byron for holding them for us!
Please leave comments below about your day.
