2015 UGA Season Begins

2015 Newsletter

2015 South Deck Newsletter

It's another football season, and it's time for the annual "South Deck Newsletter"!

Lots of weddings this year and here they are starting in December of last year.

Ross Clary (Suzanne Clary-Bryan's son and Worm's stepson) married Mary Beth Carter  on December 6, 2014 in Savannah, Georgia .  It was a beautiful wedding and I learn that Mary Beth can sing almost anything! What an amazing voice!  A very fun and eventful weekend.  They now live in Charlotte, N.C. Mary Beth is a Flight Attendant for Delta and Ross is working at Citibank.
Mary Beth and Ross make a beautiful and fun couple!!
We get to see them at the SC game.
Suzanne dancing with her baby!
You know these guys had fun!!!

Jamie Jordan married Jon Hogan in Athens, Georgia on May 30, 2015. If I could only choose one word to describe the joyous weekend it would be "Epic"!

As you can see, Jamie was a stunning bride!
Jon, you're a handsome groom too!

Yes! The Reception was at the Georgia Theatre!
What a nice looking family!
Those Hogan Boys can Dance!
Getting ready to say "I do"

Gorgeous Bridal Party!

Jamie is still teaching middle school at Burney-Harris-Lyons Middle School and working on her doctorate in Language and Literacy Education.  Jon is working with his brother at The CloverLeaf Group and has also started his own business called Classic City Captures. He's an amazing photographer and does lots of other things.  Click here to check out his website.

Amber Waddell married Patrick Barry on June 13, 2015.  I have a slightly biased opinion but it was the perfect day!
Amber was a "giggly" Bride!

This photo is so true!! :-) But Amber is worth it!
I think we took more silly photos than posed ones.
 Love these two!

Amber is now teaching 4th grade at Pearl Stevens in Warner Robins. Patrick is selling commercial real estate for Coldwell Banker in Macon, Georgia.

Finally, Ashley Griffin (Caroline and Johnny's daughter) is marrying Heston Ray on November 7, 2015 in Macon, Georgia.  Heston is from Mississippi and they were introduced through a mutual friend. Obviously, the date went well and now the countdown starts for the big day!  Click here to check their wedding website

Ashley is in her 3rd year of surgical residency in Jackson, Mississippi and still loving her work!

Our Students:

Payton Waddell (Ed and Alane's daughter) is going into 10th grade and is still playing in band   She made tenors on drum line this year and will be busy at games Friday nights and competitions on Saturdays. Her band is marching in the McDonald's Thanksgiving Day Parade in Chicago. It's suppose to be nationally televised so look for her. She's the only girl on drum line and the drums weigh half of her body weight!

I had to sneak in another wedding photo!
Payton was the Maid of Honor for her sister.

Kashera Robbins (Jimmy and Mary's daughter) is going into 2nd Grade and she was an awesome flower girl at Jamie and Jon's wedding.
Kerry was a beautiful Maid of Honor and
Kashera was a perfect Flower Girl!
First day of 2nd Grade

Kerry Jordan and Tony Allen are still in law school at Mercer. They have survived what is suppose to be the toughest year but are are still working hard!

Jim Noltimer son, Cole, will be a Senior this year at Starrs Mill High School.  So far, he is leaning towards going to GCSU for college.

Devin Bryan (Worm's son) is starting his Junior year at University of South Carolina and is starting the Engineering Program.  As I am writing this today (August 24) it is his Birthday. Devin is 20 years old! A few of us remember when he was born and it feels like yesterday. Devin's sister and Worm's daughter, Ashley, is still in Louisiana, New Orleans teaching 7th grade.  Her daughter (Worm's grand daughter), Michelle, is starting frst grade this year.

Our UGA Students:

Jim Noltimer's daughter, Hannah is starting her 3rd year at UGA and has kept all her adorable room mates as you can see below.  Look for them at the tailgates.  Hannah is working on a double Major in Marketing and Management.

Hannah (on left) and her roommates
They all will be at the games.

Neil & Tara Dyer's grand daughter, Maggie Morris is returning this year and is almost a senior.  Maggie is majoring in Education and hopes to teach Elementary School.  Her younger sister will be joining her this year too and her name is Hannah Morris.  She will be  a Freshman at UGA.  Yes, we will have 2 Hannah's that are students. Hannah is planning to major in Political Science and then Law School one day.

Maggie & Hannah

James Hernandez (Lee and Amanda's Grandson) is a Junior this year and his Major is Pre- Med.

General Information:

Coach Griffin is the Assistant Coach for C Team Football, Head Girls Basketball Coach and Head Boys Track Coach at FPD in Macon, Georgia.  So much for retirement Coach Griffin!  I know a lot of you are wondering about Coach's health and he finally has his medicine in sync and is doing well!

Skip and Dianne Talbert are expecting another grand child this October.  This will be Alan and Holly's second child and It's a Girl!

Rob Lineberger is sharing his tickets with family and we might not see him this year.  Lee's daughter Lisa might be joining us some.

Amanda Lineberger - has officially retired after teaching for 47 years! I'm guessing Hilton Head is more than a second home now!

Shane and Kelle McAdams are an old married couple now.  Shane is working on his own  business called Etched in Tradition, in Athens, and has offered to make the tailgate a logo. Thanks, Shane! Does anyone have any ideas on a logo?  Here's some of his work below.  Click here to see his business

Who doesn't want a Bulldog on their Yeti cup?!

Ben & Mary Kelly Clary (Suzanne's son) family is growing!  They had a little girl on January 24, 2015. Mary Candler Clary "Mae".  It has been a big year for Worm and Suzanne.  Ross getting married and another grand child!  Adam is back in school working on his Accounting Degree to become a CPA at the University of Wyoming.

Ben, Mary Kelly, Ford and Mae

Parker & Allyson Morgan are still living in Savannah but Parker is changing jobs.  He's starting  at a new law firm called Sawyer Law Group at the end of January focusing on  Commercial Real Estate. Allyson is the perpetual student and has started her specialist program at Georgia Southern. Allyson, who will you cheer for this year when UGA plays Southern? :-)

Jay & Robin Knight still have 3 grandsons.... no new babies this year! However, their son is deployed and is in Afghanistan.  I  know we are all grateful for our servicemen!
